Overview

Vive is looking for a product-aware engineer who is a thoughtful, responsible and passionate builder, and who appreciate good product design and customer experience. You will be responsible for developing back-end systems that support our customer touch points and enable us to offer our clients a superb and effortless experience in investing and planning their financial future.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve products and services that immediate impact our customer investing and financial planning experience.
• Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers in your team.
• Drive priorities, deadlines and work you're doing with your technical expertise.
  
• Be comfortable with working in a continuous integration environment and understand that testing makes rapid innovation possible.
  
• Balance rapid prototyping with production-grade coding, and as an experienced engineer, you’ll refine best practices and lead by example.
  
• Code! You will be a versatile coder who is specialised in back-end development.
• Translate Vive's vision into a performant, shippable product.

Your background

• You have 3+ years of professional experience as a software engineer.
  
• You code at an advanced level of Java (Java EE).
• You have experience building solutions based on modern microservice architecture.
• You have experience with platforms and tools, such as AWS EC2, RDS, Auth0, Gradle, Spring (boot), and Hibernate.
• You have experience with container technologies, such as Docker / AWS ECS / Kubernetes.
• You care about quality, and you know what it means to ship high quality code.
• You have knowledge of automatic testing, integration testing, QA and have worked in a continuous integration environment.
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbally.
